My name is Margaret A Stinson, and I am a Gourd Artist!!
It is hard to believe, but such a simple gift given to us by nature can become one of the most satisfying mediums I have ever worked with. Working with gourds can be challenging, sometimes tedious, and always demanding. However the results are always worth it!
The pieces created can express the full range of feelings you want to be surrounded with. I hope you enjoy your visit as much as I have enjoyed creating the things you will see!
Remember, because these are all hand created works of art, no two can be alike.
On these pages you will find only ORIGIONAL ARTWORK, there is no molded copies of the origionals, each is signed and dated,and is the origional!!

Sitting Pelican
This Pelican is made from 2 gourds and dowels and gourd peices. He sits about 16 " high and about 12" wide, and makes a cheerfull addition to any spot needing some interest
Standing Pelican
This Pelican is about 20" high and about 9 " wide. He is made from 2 gourds and dowels and clay.He is hard to miss, and at the shows commands alot of attention.
Blue Footed
Boobie
This sculpture is multiple gourds with clay feet. He measures aproximately 13" tall and 11" wide.
The "Blue Footed Boobie" is a bird found only in the Galopagus Islands.
He is a wonderful creatue to work with, so much character. I smiled all through his creation and couldn't stop looking at him when I was done!
